This
performance of Juan Tizol's Duke Ellington classic Caravan by
LOST WEEKEND Western Swing Band was recorded on October 9, 2004 at
the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, California. The recording features
drummer John Harrison Brinck and saxophonist Jim Rothermel. John
H. Brinck retired from performing in 2005; his career and talent
bridged genres and generations. Guitarist Mark Holzinger's solo from
this recording was excerpted and posted previously, and it remains
on YouTube.
